Nigel Thulbon and Steve Underhill established Aventus Design in 2003 to provide Civil & Structural Engineering consultancy services to private clients, developers and businesses. Each has over 25 years’ experience in the Construction Industry and specialise in the fields of Structural and Civil Engineering Design respectively.

 

We now have a dedicated team of Civil and Structural Engineers, CAD Draughtsmen and support staff.  Our office is a modern open plan workplace, fully networked to enable central backed up data storage and maximum flexibility. While we operate from a modern office using the latest technology to deliver an efficient service, we are based in a rural location which adds to the atmosphere and is enjoyed by all who work at Aventus.

 

All staff are suitably qualified and receive regular training either in-house or on external courses as required.  Our engineers are health and safety conscious, ensuring we produce safe designs fit for purpose to all relevant standards and codes of practice. All designs are then signed off by one of the Directors prior to construction.

 

Nigel Thulbon leads the Structural team, is a Chartered Engineer and a member of the Institution of Structural Engineers, with expertise in the following areas:

Steve Underhill leads the Civils team, is a member of the Institution of Highways and Transportation specialising in:

 

• Highway Design (Highways Infrastructure and Private)

• Drainage Design (to Water Authority, EA and LA approval)

• Local Authority technical liaison

• Planning Application support
